Back to work and back to normal

The attitude with which we face our day-to-day lives is key not only to coping with our daily problems but also to maintaining our emotional well-being. Now, in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, more than ever, but the role our attitude plays in the upcoming return to work will also be vital: A TIME FOR OPTIMISM AND POSITIVITY.

Let us hope that all this does not drag on much longer, as it affects the health and lives of many people, but also the economy, business and employment of many people.

The situation is very complex, tragic and at the same time unpredictable, but if we try to look on the bright side, it offers certain opportunities for a successful return to routine.

Possibility of training in new areas and in our sector, accessing learning that we have always put aside due to lack of time and that we will be able to put into practice when we return to normality.

Keeping the mind active and in constant training also through reading and keeping in touch with colleagues in the sector can help to make the return easier. Not to mention staying physically active to keep stress and anxiety at bay and look better than ever when it’s all over!

That the desire to get back to work is reflected in your attitude at work will be key to your overall success, personally, socially and professionally.

Attitude, adaptability, positivity, resilience, initiative, flexibility, motivation, confidence, energy, prudence… you should rely on all of them!

In addition, the return to work, and with it a return to normality, must go hand in hand with a broad sense of responsibility to comply with appropriate health and hygiene measures. On our return we will need to be more aware and more cautious than ever. Standardisation but with responsibility!

Away from home

  • Try not to touch surfaces and, when you do, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
  • Proper and frequent hand cleaning is more effective than the use of gloves.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, mouth or nose.
  • Maintain a safety distance of 1-2 metres.
  • If you use a car, clean it frequently, especially the surfaces that are touched the most.

Arriving home

  • It is advisable to take off your shoes and leave them near the door.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water.
  • Separate objects you don’t need at home, such as keys or wallet, and leave them in a box near the door.
  • Disinfect other items you have used outside, such as your mobile phone or glasses, and use tissues and alcohol solution or soap and water.

If you have been in contact in an enclosed environment with other people

  • Separate the clothes you have used in a bag, without shaking them. Close it and do not take it out until you use it again to go out or until you wash it in hot water.
  • Dry it well and wash your hands after handling it.

Again, often after a setback like this, getting back to normal is a matter of attitude, so don’t despair and remember that there is always a way out. Your attitude will make all the difference!

Dare to change things!

Love what you do!

Look for opportunities!

Every day is a new beginning!

Focus on getting better every day!

Never give up!

We came out of it together, rowing in the same direction with a positive attitude.
